LIVE entertainment returns to Robin Hill this summer with The Woodland Sessions, which take place from July 15 to 17.

The series of intimate outdoor concerts will unfold in the park’s unique Woodland Amphitheatre — the Island’s largest seated venue.

The event will kick-off with comedy hosted by Tom Allen on the evening of Thursday July 15, with a lineup including Rich Hall, Seann Walsh and Maisie Adam.

Friday's frivolity is headlined by musician Katie Melua's exclusive acoustic set, while Saturday revellers will get to party with covers band Rhythm Of The 90’s.

Gates open at 6:30pm and all evenings will start with drinks at the Woodland Ponds.

The main show will take place in the seated Amphitheatre, and conclude with after parties in Robin Hill’s beautifully illuminated woodland.

Park manager, James Crofts, said: “We’ve all been starved of live entertainment in the last year or so.

"As we embark on something more like normality, we wanted to treat the Island and our guests to something very special.”

Co-promoter, Keith Penny, of new Island-based events company With a Difference, said: “Katie Melua has a stunning voice and is a hugely successful artist of international stature, so we’re delighted to have secured this exclusive acoustic set for our shows.

"The Woodland Sessions are a perfect way to spend one — or several — summer evenings!”

Capacity is limited to 1,000 people per night and all shows will comply with the latest Covid-19 regulations.

Should the roadmap change and social distancing still be required, the evenings will go ahead with a ‘picnic style’ concert in Robin Hill’s open-air valley.
