NEW cases of Covid-19 have been recorded on the Isle of Wight today (Thursday), according to the latest data.

Public Health England figures reveal three cases today.

Three new cases were recorded yesterday (Wednesday), with none on Tuesday and one on Monday, making the weekly total seven

The total number of cases on the Island since the pandemic began in March, 2020, now stands at 6,875.

The Island's rolling rate of cases for the seven days up to June 5 has dropped from 11.3 to 9.9. On Monday it was 14.8.

The UK's rate is now 51.7, up from yesterday's 49.8, with 7,393 new cases recorded today.

Over-25s on the Island are being called forward to get their Covid-19 vaccination, Health Secretary Matt Hancock announced earlier this week.
