POLICE were called to Newport this morning (Thursday) following reports of a suspicious bank transfer.
The activity took place at Santander Bank on St James' Street, with enquiries ongoing at this time.
A spokesperson for the Hampshire Constabulary said: “We were called to Santander in Newport at 11.31am with reports of a transfer being made in suspicious circumstances.
“No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
