RESTRICTIONS have been further lifted at the Isle of Wight's waste recycling centres.

During the first phases of the pandemic, households were only allowed a visit to the tip once a fortnight, which then got eased to once a week.

Now, people can go every other day if they need to.

Lynnbottom and Afton Marsh sites still need to have visits booked in advance — but visits can be once every two days.

People should not visit if they have symptoms or are confirmed to have Covid-19.

Book an appointment online at iow.gov.uk/hwrcbooking or call the council’s Waste Services team on 01983 823777.

Booking slots will be made available online up to two weeks in advance, and are in 15-minute windows.

Bookings must be made at least 24 hours before visiting.

Afton Marsh is open Monday, Saturday and Sunday, from 10am to 6pm.

Lynnbottom is open every day from 10am to 6pm.
