Coastguard Rescue team called to Bembridge Ledge.
RESCUE teams were called to Bembridge this afternoon (Tuesday) after a yacht ran aground.
Lifeboat and Coastguard Rescue teams from the town were called to the scene at Bembridge Ledge.
At approximately 1.15pm, HM Coastguard received a mayday call from a yacht run aground with five people on board.
Those on board were evacuated to shore safely, with the yacht unable to be moved at this time.
Attempts will be made to refloat the vessel at high tide.
