ONE new case of Covid-19 has been recorded on the Isle of Wight, according to the latest data.

Public Health England figures released today (Monday) reveal just four new cases in the five days from Thursday.

Yesterday (Sunday), two new cases were recorded.

The total number of cases for the Isle of Wight, since the start of the pandemic, now stands at 6,869.

The Island's rolling rate of cases for the seven days up to June 2 is 14.8.

Yesterday, that figure was 15.2.

The UK's rate is 42.1, with 5,683 new cases recorded today.

Over-25s on the Island are being called forward to get their Covid-19 vaccination from tomorrow (Tuesday), the Health Secretary has announced.
