A SWEET business is bringing a delectable range of freshly made fudge to Cowes this summer.

The opening of Roly's Fudge Pantry on Shooters Hill last month brings to fruition a decade long dream for owners Rachel Appleby and partner Mandy Woolnough.

Roly's Fudge was formed in 1987 when the founders, Peter and Lindsey Riley, began making homemade fudge in their farmhouse cottage kitchen.

The company subsequently began franchising, with a five-star rating awarded for franchisee satisfaction.

Rachel said: "About 25 years ago, I was on holiday in Devon with my family. While shopping in Barnstaple, we discovered a little fudge shop called Roly's Fudge Pantry.

"I met Mandy years later and for the last ten years we have looked at opening our own shop but the timing was never right, and we didn't have the money.

"After Covid struck Mandy and I realised with our savings and some help from our families, we could look into opening our own shop."

Representatives from Roly's visited the Island to meet Rachel and Mandy in February and three months later the new store was opened.

Among the range of flavours available to try is Roly's multi-award winning sea salt fudge.
