In 2016, former England goalkeeper David James was spotted serving fresh Domino’s pizza to revellers at the Isle of Wight Festival, ahead of the Three Lions’ Euro 2016 tie against Russia.

The game was shown on a big screen at the event, and David — who was capped 53 times for England — delighted hungry fans by dishing out dinner and posing for selfies on a mobile pizza unit.

At the time, a Domino’s source said: “David was brilliant – we couldn’t believe it when he suggested jumping up to serve our pizzas. The fans absolutely loved it.”

English and Welsh fans from the Isle of Wight travelled to France for a Euro 2016 tour and some of them even got to meet well-known former footballer, Alan Shearer.

Covid means tours to watch the football may not be possible at the moment, but there are plenty of fun things you can do at home!
