The Cowes-East Cowes chain ferry is out of service yet again today (Wednesday).

This time it is for repairs to the prow's hydraulic ram.

It is likely to be out for a few hours, said the Isle of Wight Council.

The multi-million vessel has already had an absences in the last week, due to cable problems.

It went off on Sunday and returned to service on Monday.

This was the last crossing for a while today (Wednesday).

The process of making a legal challenge is underway, the Isle of Wight Council has previously revealed.
