Dadina Sagger, the IW Film Fixer, said: “It was great to be able to work along London casting agents to help find local people, which worked out well and gave many Island actors this great opportunity.

“Island People Agency was so excited to be involved with supplying 772 supporting artists.

“It’s fantastic that our children got to see the other side of how a TV show is made. Even if you only get to do it once, its a great experience.”

The Beast Must Die is the streaming service’s first original drama.

It's a revenge thriller inspired by a novel by Nicholas Blake (pen name of former poet laureate and father of Daniel, Cecil Day-Lewis).

Cush Jumbo stars as a woman left bereft by the death of her six-year-son in a hit-and-run incident.

The only thing keeping her going is the idea of hunting down the man responsible and taking her revenge.

Billy Howle also appears as the troubled but brilliant Detective Strangeways who is trying to find out whodunnit and ensure that justice is done.

Jared Harris, Geraldine James and Nathaniel Parker co-star.
