A SINGLE case has been added to the Isle of Wight's Covid tally today (Monday), in Public Health England's daily data update.

It takes the Island's cumulative coronavirus total to 6,834 cases, since the pandemic's first case was recorded here in March 2020.

The rolling rate per 100,000 people has risen to 10.6, from 8.5 yesterday.

The Island remains well below the UK average rate, of 23.5.

Cases at St Mary's Hospital have also remained very low, with just one patient recorded for this week, and none in the last few weeks.

That data is only updated weekly and shows each Tuesday, but numbers have been consistently low in recent weeks.
