BEMBRIDGE RNLI's all-weather lifeboat launched this afternoon (Sunday) to help in a search for a missing woman.
A female deemed a high risk missing person was thought to be in the vicinity of Bembridge beach.
Police asked HM Coastguard for the assistance of the lifeboat crew.
However, officers later located the woman back at her home address.
The search, launched at around 3pm, has now been stood down.
UPDATE: Despite information received from Solent Coastguard at the time, we now understand Bembridge Lifeboat didn't get as far as launching.
