THERE were no new positive cases of coronavirus on the Isle of Wight over the past 24 hours, according to the latest figures produced by Public Health England.
In the latest government update, the Isle of Wight's overall total stands at 6,832 positive cases since the start of the pandemic — taking the number of cases this week, since Sunday, to 13.
The Island's rolling average of cases per 100,000 people, in the seven days to May 9, however, has risen to 10.60, compared to the national figure of 24.60.
This time last week, the Island's rolling rate stood at 8.50 per 100,000 people, while the UK's rolling rate was at 20.50.
