Thirty one children and two members of staff, from Binstead Primary, are self-isolating after a positive Covid-19 test.
Students are getting their lessons remotely, until May 21.
The school remains open for all other children.
An Isle of Wight Council spokesperson said: “A member of the Binstead Primary School community has tested positive for Covid-19.
"Public health has offered advice and consequently 31 pupils and two staff need to self-isolate as a precautionary measure until 21 May.
“High-quality remote learning will be provided for the pupils throughout this time.”
