MITCHELL Avenue in Ventnor has been closed due to a road traffic accident.

It is believed a pedestrian has been hit by a motocycle and is being treated at the scene, near Ventnor Bowling Club.

Isle of Wight Police and the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service are in attendance.

Mitchell Avenue is blocked and heavy with traffic, including a bus, so it is advised to avoid the area if possible.
