WITH local elections looming, when can we expect to hear the results?

Due to Covid, the election count for the Isle of Wight Council, and town and parish council and Police and Crime Commissioners elections will not take place overnight straight after the voting ends.

Instead, they will take place between Friday, May 7, and Monday, May 10, at 1Leisure Medina.

The count for the Isle of Wight Council election will start at 9.30am on the Friday and is expected to last a few hours, into the afternoon.

The count for town and parish councils will start at 3.30pm on the Saturday and will be announced on the day.

The count for the PCC will begin at 9am on the Monday, and the results will be announced in Southampton, by Mark Heath, the police area returning officer.
