A JET-SKIER was rescued by a passing yacht near Cowes this afternoon (Saturday).
After attending a major operation on the River Medina — plus twice yesterday (Friday) — Cowes RNLI lifeboat was called into service yet again, at 3.19pm.
They went to investigate a distress message which reported a jet-skier had broken down and his vehicle capsized just outside the entrance to Cowes harbour.
However, before the crew's arrival, a yacht had rescued the jet-skier, with no further action taken by Cowes RNLI.
The male jet-skier was given a blanket, but declined any further treatment and was taken to Trinity Landing.
Meanwhile, the jet-ski was towed to Cowes by a local harbour commission launch.
