Today (Monday) is the deadline to register to vote on May 6, while all postal ballot papers must be applied for by tomorrow (April 20), at 5pm.
On the Isle of Wight, we will be voting for Isle of Wight Council members, the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight (postponed from 2020) and some town and parish councils.
According to the Electoral Commission, at the 2017 Isle of Wight Council election, 109,100 Islanders were eligible to vote and 42,000 returned valid ballot papers.
It was a turnout of 38.6 per cent - higher than the England average.
Around 11,800 postal votes were included in the count.
Meanwhile, 16,700 Islanders returned valid votes at the PCC election in 2016 – 15.5 per cent of those who were eligible to take part.

If you want to vote on May 6, you must be registered to vote by midnight today.
5pm tomorrow (Tuesday, April 20) is the final deadline for postal vote applications.
