THE latest Isle of of Wight Covid update has been released today (Friday).
Public Health England figures show two new cases have been recorded on the Island.
One new case was recorded yesterday (Wednesday) and eleven have been recorded in total this week from Monday.
The total number of cases recorded on the Isle of Wight, since the start of the pandemic, stands at 6,767.
The rolling rate of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 people has yet to be updated today. Though five days behind, the 17.6 recorded yesterday was a significant drop from the previous day's 21.2. The UK rate yesterday was 28.4.
The worst-affected area on the Island, as of data released yesterday (Wednesday), was Niton, Shorwell and Godshill.
