EMERGENCY service teams have been called to a three-car crash in Arreton this morning (Monday).

Police, fire and ambulance have all been called to the scene on the A3056 ­— the main road through the village.

Among those requested to attend was one fire appliance from Shanklin and another from Newport.

The fire crews have since stood down.

Heavy traffic build-up has been reported in the area.

UPDATE: 

The scene has been cleared and the road has reopened. 

A delivery van and two cars were involved in the collision. 

A spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue said: "No people were trapped and firefighters assisted police colleagues with clearing the road."

Isle of Wight Police have confirmed no serious injuries were sustained.
