The Duke will also not lie in state, where the public would have been able, under normal circumstances, to view his coffin.

It will be a ceremonial royal funeral, rather than a state funeral, to celebrate and reflect on his life of service to the country, due to the pandemic.

The Duke of Sussex is set to fly in from his home in the United States to attend the funeral.

Earlier today (Saturday), gun salutes across the UK and at sea marked the Duke's death.

Up to and including the day of the funeral, there will be eight days of national mourning.

A spokesman for the Palace said: "While this is a time of sadness and mourning, the coming days will be an opportunity to celebrate a remarkable life."
