IN MEMORY of Prince Philip, the Royal Family is inviting well-wishers to send messages via an online book of condolence, rather than leave floral tributes, due to ongoing Covid-19 restrictions.

Flowers were laid outside Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace immmediately after yesterday’s (Friday) announcement the Duke of Edinburgh had died, aged 99.

The palace has asked the public to make charity donations instead of laying floral tributes.

"During the current public health situation, books of condolence will not be available for the public to sign,” the Palace posted on Twitter.

"The Royal family asks that members of the public consider making a donation to a charity, instead of leaving floral tributes in memory of the Duke.”
