THE EXTENT of damage caused by a rooftop incident at St Mary's Hospital has been outlined in eight charges.
The case against Mark Anthony Booth-Pain, 41, of Heath Close, Newport, will be heard at the Isle of Wight Magistrates' Court tomorrow (Friday).
The incident took place on Good Friday.
Mr Booth-Pain faces a charge of criminal damage to the roof of Sevenacres Hospital to the value of more than £5,000 belonging to NHS Property Services Ltd.
He is also charged with criminal damage to six vehicles — a Landrover Freelander, a Citroen C3, an Audi, Suzuki Swift and a BMW 2 series and a Ford Focus.
The latter two vehicles belong to Hampshire Constabulary.
He is also charged with affray — using or threatening unlawful violence towards other persons and causing them to fear for their personal safety.
Riot shields were used by police during the incident.
