EMERGENCY service teams were called to assist an injured man near Compton this afternoon (Wednesday).
Freshwater’s Co-Responder, paramedics and coastguard were all called to the scene between Compton and Brook.
Tasked to an injured adult male on the beach, coastguard crews extricated the casualty and he was passed into the care of the ambulance service.
A group of UKSA students were praised for making the patient comfortable prior to the arrival of emergency teams.
Needles and Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Teams were both involved.
