A MAN from the Isle of Wight is aiming to walk 70 miles to raise money to fight the sexual exploitation of vulnerable girls and women in Kenya.

Hugh Harrison, 70, will walk one mile for each year of his life, non-stop, around the Island this summer.

He said: "I hope to raise a minimum of £5,000 to register with the Charity Commission so we can go to specific and major grant making trusts.

"Anyone who would like to help prevent the coercion and sexual exploitation of vulnerable girls and women in Coast Province, Kenya, where I was a VSO teacher in 1973, please go to our fundraising page on GoFundMe and search for ‘Let’s Youth.’"

Hugh will begin his trek around the Island on Saturday, July 10.
