A SANDOWN man admitted child sex abuse offences when he appeared at the Isle of Wight Crown Court on Thursday.

David Ward, 51, of Avenue Road, admitted two counts of sexual activity with a child, between February 18 and July 27 of last year.

He also admitted two counts of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, between February 28, 2020, and July 27, 2020.

Recorder Anna Midgley ordered a pre-sentence report, and Ward's case was adjourned to April 30 for sentencing.

He was immediately placed on the Sex Offenders' Register and barred from working with children.
