A FISHING boat with engine failure off Yarmouth last night (Friday) remains stranded off shore after Yarmouth RNLI lifeboat was unable to tow it.

Just before 8pm last night, Solent Coastguard received a 999 call, with Yarmouth lifeboat launched at 10.07pm.

The lifeboat attended, but was unable to tow the 20m-long vessel due to the weather conditions, which were Force 4-5.

The vessel, stranded in Bouldnor Bay, is due to be receovered later today (Saturday), according to the Maritime Coastguard Agency.
