A SEARCH of the western Solent was made by Cowes RNLI lifeboat after a paddleboard was discovered in the sea this morning (Saturday).
At 6.20am, a fishing boat reported finding the paddleboard in the water at Thorness Bay.
The Cowes crew carried out a search of the area and nothing else was found.
The board (pictured) is white on top and blue underneath.

UPDATED 2.20pm: The paddleboard's owner has since contacted the coastguard to say there was nobody in distress.
