He has already made a name for himself at home, due to his charity work.

Now he is planing to bring his fundraising efforts to the Isle of Wight.

Carlos-Ricardo, who is also a sea cadet, will run the length of the Isle of Wight to raise money for NHS Charities Together, as part of his Duke of Edinburgh Award.

As long as Covid restrictions allow, he will undertake the challenge on the weekend of May 28.

He has already raised nearly £400.

Mum Alejandra Foster and stepdad Kevin Clark are both NHS workers and the couple say they and are very proud that he has chosen the challenge.

Two decades ago, Kevin was based at St Mary’s Hospital.

He is now a cardiothoracic surgical practitioner in London’s St Bartholomew’s Hospital.

Carlos wrote: "I am a 14 year old Sea Cadet from London.

"I have decided to run the length of the Isle of Wight (36km) to raise money for NHS Charities Together.

"I have chosen to do this as I have been inspired by the sheer dedication of our NHS during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and feel that it is my duty to give back to them.

"Please join me in saying thanks by supporting me in my run and wish me luck!"
