Wight Proms will return this summer, say its organisers.

The 2020 event went virtual due to Covid-19, but now a four-day festival is planned for August 19-22.

It will take place in the grounds of Northwood House in Cowes.

A celebration of comedy and musical theatre is promised, along with the Last Wight of the Proms.

Organisers say they also hope to bring opera to the Isle of Wight stage this year.

For 2020, Wight Proms screened three exclusive concerts, to help support the festival and to offer work to performers hit by the coronavirus restrictions.

In previous years, stars Ruthie Henshall, Aled Jones, Russell Watson, Blake, Lesley Garrett, Omid Djalili, Shappi Khorsandi and Alan Davies have all entertained the Wight Proms crowds.
