THE latest Isle of Wight Covid data has been released, showing two more cases reported today.

Public Health England figures released today (Tuesday) adds two cases to the Isle of Wight's total, taking the cumulative total to 6,705 since the start of the pandemic.

The last few days has shown just one or two cases added daily.

The Isle of Wight's rolling average rate has also changed.

In the seven days up to March 18, per 100,000 people, the Island's rate was 16.9. This has fallen since the 18.3 recorded yesterday.

The UK rate is 57.1.

Another Covid death was recorded on the Isle of Wight today.

The Island resident died at home, after testing positive for Covid-19, in the week of January 29, but the death has only just been added to the official figure and was revealed today (Tuesday), by the Office of National Statistics (ONS).

In all, 279 people have died on the Isle of Wight, having tested positive for the virus.
