Emergency crews called to fire in Newport home
Isle of Wight firefighters have been at a house fire in Newport this afternoon (Friday).
Two crews from Newport were called to Furrlongs just after 2:30pm.
The Isle of Wight Ambulance Service also attended the incident north of Pan Stores.
Southern Vectis said one of its buses was delayed and two routes were diverted via Staplers Road.
Owing to a fire on Furrlongs, route 8 14:40 Newport to Ryde is currently delayed. Route 8 and 39 will divert divert via Staplers Road until Furrlongs has re-opened.

Update
Both fire crews have now left the scene.
Furrlongs has now reopened. Route 8 can operate over this section of route as normal
