THREE arrests have been made following an aggravated burglary in Ryde.

At around 9.45pm on Tuesday night, entry was forced at an address on Ashey Road.

Police say threats were made toward the occupants, but nothing was stolen and no-one was injured.

Specialist officers were reported to have been brought over from the mainland as part of an investigation.

A spokesperson for Isle of Wight Police said: "We believe this was a targeted incident and there is no risk to the wider public.

“Three 29-year-old men have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and remain in custody at this time.”
