Four new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded on the Isle of Wight, according to figures published today (Sunday).

It means the Island has had 6,643 cases of coronavirus since the start of the pandemic, in 2020.

There has been a significant fall in the number of cases being recorded here in recent weeks.

February peaked on the 9th, with 48 added in one day.

In January, hundreds were being added to the tally every day.

The rolling average per 100,000 people also continues to fall, according to the government data.

There were 30.3 cases per 100,000, in the seven days to February 23.
