FIRE crews were called to a blaze in Northwood this morning (Saturday).
The Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service was called to a burning barn Little Pallance Farm, in Pallance Lane at 5.54am.
Fireflighters are still tackling the blaze, but have it under control, said a fire service spokesperson.
"The building was well alight — 100 per cent consumed by fire," the fire spokesperson said.
Two pumps and a command unit from Newport, a foam unit from East Cowes, a pump from Cowes and a water carrier from Freshwater are at the scene.
No one was injured, nor were any livestock during the blaze.
Cars were damaged by the fire and the cause of it has yet to be determined.
UPDATE 10.45AM: The incident ended just before 10am, with one pump from Newport at the scene damping down the barn, which measures 15m x 30m.
A further inspection will take place shortly to check for any possible flare-up.
