A BASKET stretcher was used by a Coastguard team to help evacuate a casualty off a beach this morning.
Bembridge Coastguard Rescue Team was sent just after 11am to help the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service with a tricky rescue off the sand at St Helens Duver.
They used their basket stretcher to evacuate the casualty from the beach and into the ambulance, ready for onward transport to St Mary's Hospital.
