Three south coast music festivals, popular with Isle of Wight residents, have confirmed they plan to go ahead this summer.

Victorious Festival, which is held in Southsea, Portsmouth will take place on August 27-29.

Organisers said on Twitter: "Following the government's roadmap announcement, it looks like we're in for a great British summer!

"Planning for Victorious 2021 is well underway and we look forward to sharing more news with you very soon!"

Meanwhile Let's Rock Southampton has put tickets on sale for its July 10 event.

Midge Ure, Wet Wet Wet and Go West all feature on the event's website.

Dorset's Camp Bestival is also planning to go ahead.

It also took to Twitter to announce the news. 

Organisers posted: "Camp Bestival 2021: it’s the Staycation of the century. Don’t miss the family gathering of the year!"

Next week, the Isle of Wight Festival is expected to tell us more about its plans.

Isle of Wight Festival update after Covid roadmap revealed

It would finish just a day before the government is due to remove all Covid-19 restrictions (assuming the roadmap our of lockdown goes to plan).

A consortium that includes the Isle of Wight's Jack Up The Summer and Rhythmtree is yet to comment.

Earlier this week, the Reading and Leeds festivals confirmed plans for a 2021 return.
