THE Isle of Wight's rolling average for Covid cases per 100,000 people continues to drop.

The rate of new cases has fallen significantly since January's peak, and just three people were confirmed as having tested positive for coronavirus, according to today's (Wednesday's) data, following two cases confirmed yesterday.

It brings the total of confirmed Covid-19 cases on the Island, since the start of the pandemic, to 6,622.

The Island's seven day rolling average is now well below the rate for the rest of the country.

There were 47.3 per 100,000 in the seven days to February 19. The UK rate is 116.4.
