Mystery of The Panther will consider the stories of big cat sightings here and how, if at all, the animals may have ended up living in the wild.
Carole Baskin told Jake Valvona: "You can be living around these cats forever and not even know that they're there because they're so smart and elusive.
"So many people traffic them as pets and can't handle them. They easily escape and it wouldn't be hard for them to survive.
"Our cats [at Big Cat Rescue] can live as long as 20 years."
Mystery of the Panther is being produced by Imperial Media - set up by the former media studies student from Isle of Wight College, who has been creating videos and short films for 13 years.
Jake plans to release his film to buy on Amazon and Vimeo.
