SINCE the start of the pandemic, 563 Covid patients have been treated at St Mary's Hospital.

The total had reached 500 on Sunday January 17, meaning there have been a further 63 patients treated in the past 11 days according to the latest government data.

Of those, 114 died in hospital, and 78 are currently still being treated there (as of Tuesday, the latest date data is available for).

It means approximately 371 people have been to St Mary's as a Covid patient and have subsequently been discharged.

Earlier today we reported a further two Covid related deaths at St Mary's, with the deaths officially registered for January 26 and 27.
