THE former bus depot in Ventnor is up for auction again — this time with a lower guide price.

In the first online Clive Emson auction of the year, the Pier Street bus depot is among 101 lots going under the hammer.

The guide price for the depot, which has planning permission to be demolished and turned into two shops and ten two-bed flats, is £440,000 to £480,000.

The vacant property was also listed in an auction before Christmas last year, going for a higher guide price £480,000 to £520,000.

Also on offer at the auction is another Ventnor property on Lowtherville Road.

Isle of Wight County Press:

Number 29, a semi-detached house on Lowtherville Road, has a guided freehold price at £100,000 and more.

Rob Marchant, Clive Emson’s Island auctioneer, said: "The house requires a programme of upgrading and refurbishment and is considered very worthy of the improvements required, beyond which it will be ideally suited to resale back into the local marketplace, perhaps for addition to an income-producing letting portfolio or potentially for use by an owner occupier, particularly in view of the scope and potential of the large rear garden.”

The bid timers for the two Island properties, as well as other auction lots, end on Wednesday, February 10.
