A Met Office yellow weather warning for rain for the Isle of Wight will be in force from Wednesday (January 20) next week.

We are warned conditions could lead to flooding and we could also see disruption to travel.

There is a small chance homes and businesses could be flooded, according to forecasters.

Bus and train services are likely to be affected, with journey times taking longer than usually expected.

There is also a small chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater causing hazardous conditions.

The warning will run from midnight on Wednesday until 3am on Thursday.

Some interruption to power supplies and other services is expected during this time.
