EMERGENCY service teams have been called to a crash in Cowes this afternoon (Friday), with firefighters working to free a casualty.
Police, ambulance and the fire service have all been called to the scene on Victoria Road.
At 4.20pm, firefighters received a call from the ambulance service requesting assistance.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Fire and Rescue said crews were tasked with cutting the roof off a vehicle to free a casualty.
Cowes Fire Station said the crash happened "almost outside the station doors".
The incident is ongoing.
Southern Vectis says its Route 1 buses are diverting via Bellevue Road and Brooklands Road until further notice.
UPDATE 6.05pm:
One female casualty has been freed and passed into the care of the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
