AN ISLAND photographer has had her bike stolen — after the thief cut a pipe to get to it.

Sienna Anderson is appealing for information about her missing green and black Trek ladies bike, which has gone missing.

She said: "Some lovely individual/s broke into the alley where I live on Union Street in Ryde.

"They cut a pipe which my bike was locked to, and stole it. I believe this was planned as the gate was kicked open a few weeks ago and my bike looked like it had been moved but they obviously couldn’t take it then."

Sienna has appealed to businesses on Union Street to check their CCTV footage.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101.

UPDATE 3pm:

The bike has been found.

Sienna said: "I never thought I would be saying this. Thanks to the power of social media, friends, family and the lovely people that live on this Island my bike had been found.

"It was taken to a disused building in Ryde where people have been breaking in and using it as a doss house, only thing is it’s currently manned at night now and they were chased off - leaving my bike behind.

"Thank you everyone for all your help and suppprt - amazing."
