A CONFIRMED case of Covid-19 at Gurnard Primary School sees a number of vulnerable and key worker children self-isolating.

The Isle of Wight Council has been told a member of the school community has tested positive for the virus.

A council spokesperson said: "Public health advice has been sought and consequently, a small number of vulnerable and key worker students that had been attending school in the Year 6 bubble will need to self-isolate, along with a small number of staff as a precautionary measure.

“High-quality remote learning is already being provided for the children of these year groups throughout this time, and these students will be able to access this immediately.

"The other bubbles remain open for vulnerable children and the children of critical workers.”
