A FAMILY has launched a new restaurant in memory of a beloved son who died at the age of 15.
Benjamin's bar and bistro is at 36-38 High Street, Shanklin, and is named after Ben Boon, who lost his life to a congenital heart defect last December.

Ben died after his fifth open heart surgery.
His mother Amber said: "The restaurant is in memory of my son who sadly lost his battle with a congenital heart defect.
"Ben always knew it was my dream to open a restaurant and was always saying he couldn't wait and was keen to start working."

The restaurant, in a prime position in Shanklin, has a Facebook page, and is open ready for the festive season.

It is offering a pre-Christmas menu, and a Christmas Day menu.
