THE number of confirmed Covid-19 cases recorded for the Isle of Wight has increased again today (Wednesday).
A further five cases takes the cumulative total to 976 since the start of the pandemic.
There have been six cases on the Isle of Wight in December so far after 342 were recorded in November — more than any other month to date.
These are all cases of people registered on the Isle of Wight.
Last month five deaths were recorded at St Mary's Hospital.

The person died on November 25, taking the total number of hospital deaths to 48.
In total on the Island, 97 people have died from a Covid-related condition, with 45 in care homes, 3 at home and 1 in the hospice.
