The manager of the West Wight Sports and Community Centre will appear alongside Paralympic swimmer Ellie Simmonds OBE, discussing the impact of Covid-19 on grassroots sport.

The panel will be chaired by Sunday Times sports journalist Rebecca Myers.

In 2019, the Island's Clare Griffin won the Sunday Times Grassroots Sportswoman of the Year Award.

This year's event is virtual and will be shown online, from 6:30pm.

Clare said: "I want to get a balanced message out there about the devastating effect Covid is having on grassroots sport, especially in a place like the Isle of Wight."
