THE upcoming Chilly Hilly race has been postponed until later in December, organisers have announced.
Originally scheduled for December 6, the ten-mile cross-country race has been moved to December 20.
West Wight Sports and Community Centre manager, Clare Griffin, said: “With the uncertainty about Covid restrictions after the second lockdown, we were concerned about finalising the arrangements in time.”
Strict Covid-safety measures will be in place and there will be no registration — race numbers will be posted to runners ahead of time.
There will be no changing facilities, and spectators will not be permitted at the centre or on the field.
Race entries are sold out, and the waiting list is full.
Runners who have entered but cannot take part on December 20 should e-mail events@westwight.org.uk.
Entries cannot be transferred to another person.
