A power cut has hit Newport this afternoon.
A LARGE number of properties in Newport are without power this afternoon (Sunday).
Supplier SSEN has apologised and says its engineers are are on site working hard to get the power back on as quickly as they can.
It says it was notified at about 3.15pm and says power is expected to be restored by 6.30pm.
At least 167 postcode areas are reported to be affected by the loss of power, including Sainsbury's in Foxes Road, which lost power shortly after 3pm.
